Psalms 14:1 says “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.”
Romans 1:22-24 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves.
God: This is the ancient Hebrew word Elohim. ( The True GOD)
- Grammatically it is a plural word used as if it were singular.
Adam Clarke quoted a Rabbi, commenting on the word Elohim: “Come and see the mystery of the word Elohim; there are three degrees, and each degree by itself alone, and yet notwithstanding they are all one, and joined together in one, and are not divided from each other.”
“God created.” The word “create” is from the Hebrew word bara, which means “to create out of nothing.”
