Mark 1:14-20 – Jesus Begins His Galilean Ministry

Vss. 14-15; Jesus’ Message
Jesus was a preacher who did wonderful miracles, not a miracle
worker who sometimes preached

Hebrews 3:7-8; Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you
will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation,
in the day of temptation in the wilderness,

*Repent: metanoeō (met-an-o-eh’-o)— to change one’s mind for better,
heartily to amend with abhorrence of one’s past sins.
Repentance speaks of a change of direction, not a sorrow in the
heart.

*Believe: (pisteuo)-to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place
confidence in, to have faith, to entrust.
II. Vss. 16-20; Disciples are Being Called

Jeremiah 16:15-16, “Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says
the LORD, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for
many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and
every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
